 Glass Blowing Demonstration

At The Auction!

Demonstrations will be held throughout

Saturday, July 8 beginning at 6:00pm

and Sunday, July 9 beginning at 3:00pm

The Glass Blowing Team from Keystone College, with their instructor James Harmon (an internationally recognized glass-making artist and combustion engineering expert), will demonstrate how artists mold glass into a variety of shapes, the effect heat has on color, color mixing, the fiber optic properties of glass, and the many different uses of glass.

Come down and watch as the team creates a special glass item to be auctioned over the block! There will also be glass items available to purchase.

The Mobile Studio, complete with its own glass furnace and all the component parts of a working glass studio, is the only one of its kind in the region. It will be driven to the library grounds to provide our community with a unique opportunity to experience glass making!
